What we collect

What you type into a form, and nothing you did not type. Depending on which form you use, that is:

• Your name, and your company name if you are in the trade.
• Your email address and phone number.
• The part of the county you work in.
• Your contractor licence number and class, and roughly how much you buy a month, on the trade form only. Both are optional and are used to set your pricing tier.
• Anything you write in a message field.

Our server also records the ordinary things a web server records when a form is submitted: the IP address it came from, the browser used, and the time. That is kept as a record of the submission and as a defence against automated junk.

There is no account to create, no profile built about you, and no purchase of information about you from anybody else.

03—Why we have it

Why we have it

To reply to you, to quote the work, to arrange delivery or pickup, and to keep a record of what was ordered. If you applied for a trade account, also to check the licence you gave us and set your pricing.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone so that they can advertise to you.

04—Text messages

Text messages

If you tick the box on our form, we may text you about your enquiry: quotes, appointment times, and updates about an order or a pickup. The messages come from a real business number and a real person reads the replies.

Ticking that box is the only way we get your consent. It is a separate checkbox, it is never ticked for you, and it is never bundled with anything else on the form. You can submit the form without it and everything else works exactly the same, because consent to be texted is not a condition of getting a quote, buying from us, or anything else.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The only company that sees your number in connection with these messages is the carrier network we send them through, which is what delivers the message to your handset and nothing more.

Consent is recorded with the date and the form you gave it on. If you reply STOP, that is recorded too, and it stops the messages permanently until you ask us to start again.

05—Who else handles it

Who else handles it

Four companies hold your information on our behalf, each for one job and nothing else:

• Supabase, which is the database and file storage where enquiries and photos are kept.
• Vercel, which serves this website.
• Resend, which delivers our email.
• Telnyx, which delivers our text messages.

They process it under contract, for us, and are not free to use it for their own purposes. Beyond those four, information leaves us only when the law requires it.

06—Cookies and measurement

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no cookie on a visitor. The only cookies here belong to the staff and client logins, and you only get one by signing in.

If you arrive from an advertisement, the campaign tags in the link are held in your browser for the length of the visit so that we can tell which advertisement worked. They are discarded when you close the tab.

The site is built to load Google Analytics and the Meta pixel when we run advertising. Neither is switched on today, so no analytics or advertising script runs on this site at the moment. When that changes, those scripts see which pages were viewed. They do not see what you type into a form.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and orders are kept while we are doing business together and afterwards for as long as the records are needed for tax, warranty and accounting. Ask us to delete your information and we will, apart from what we are required to keep.

• Texts: reply STOP to any message.
• Email: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message we send.
• Everything else: email hello@mccabinets.co and ask to see, correct or delete what we hold. We answer as a person, not a form.

09—California residents

California residents

California law gives you the right to know what personal information a business has collected about you, to have it deleted, and to have it corrected. It also gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of that information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing there to opt out of. Exercise any of these rights by emailing hello@mccabinets.co. We will not treat you differently for asking.

This is a business selling cabinets and flooring. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
